Our Story

KITA WARE was created to help people, organizations, and communities thrive through workforce development, experiential learning, and evidence-based practices grounded in industrial-organizational psychology.

Our history

KITA WARE was formed to address emerging workforce and community challenges through practical, evidence-based programs, education, and collaborative partnerships.

Our Approach

KITA WARE integrates industrial-organizational psychology, cultural design, experiential learning, and evidence-based practice to develop human-centered solutions that support long-term organizational and community resilience.

Professional and Ethical Foundations

KITA WARE's work is informed by recognized professional standards, evidence-based practice, and a commitment to ethical systems development. Drawing upon industrial-organizational psychology, organizational development, education, research, and community engagement, we strive to promote responsible decision-making, professional integrity, and human-centered approaches that strengthen workplaces, organizations, and communities.

Our approach emphasizes beneficence, responsibility, integrity, fairness, and respect for human dignity. These principles guide our efforts to design ethical systems, foster effective communication, encourage inclusive participation, and promote resilient and sustainable outcomes for the individuals, organizations, and communities we serve.

KITA WARE also draws upon professional guidance, research, and practice resources developed by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the leading professional association for industrial-organizational psychology. SIOP advances the science and practice of work psychology through research, education, and professional development, supporting evidence-based approaches to organizational effectiveness, leadership, employee well-being, organizational culture, and workforce development.

In addition, KITA WARE references the American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct (2017) as a professional resource supporting ethical practice, professional responsibility, evidence-based decision-making, and respect for human dignity. Together, these professional and ethical foundations inform our consulting, educational, research, organizational development, and community-based initiatives.

Professional Resources

KITA WARE draws upon recognized professional organizations and ethical frameworks that support evidence-based practice, organizational effectiveness, and responsible service to communities.

Workplaces Respond - Hawaii

When communities in HILO lose their industrial foundations, households often struggle to sustain themselves—and their struggles go unnoticed. At KITA WARE, we bring together industrial-organizational psychology, cultural design, and evidence-based consulting to build safer, communicative, and resilient local systems—all while honoring Hawaii’s unique ecological and cultural heritage. We welcome opportunities to collaborate in fostering sustainable workforce systems, ethical organizations, and resilient communities throughout Hawaiʻi.
