Committees
Committees are the working foundation of KITA WARE's governance and organizational development. Each committee supports the Board of Trustees by advancing strategic priorities, strengthening organizational capacity, and promoting ethical leadership in service to Hawaiʻi's communities.
Finance Committee
Oversees financial stewardship, budgeting, fiscal accountability, and long-term financial sustainability while supporting responsible use of organizational resources.
Primary Responsibilities

Develop and monitor the annual operating and program budgets.

Marketing & Communications Committee
Promotes public awareness of KITA WARE through strategic communications, publications, branding, media engagement, and digital outreach.
Primary Responsibilities

Maintain consistent branding and public communications.

Oversee website, social media, newsletters, and digital engagement.

Support fundraising communications and donor recognition.

Leadership & Governance Committee
Strengthens organizational governance by supporting Board development, policy review, strategic planning, and leadership succession.
Primary Responsibilities

Support effective governance through policy development and periodic review.

Recruit, orient, and mentor trustees and committee leaders.

Assist with Board succession planning and leadership development.

Review bylaws, governance policies, and committee charters.

Scholarship Committee
Advances educational opportunities through scholarships, professional development, research initiatives, and lifelong learning.

Fellowship & Events Committee
Coordinates organizational meetings, conferences, educational events, and fellowship activities that strengthen community relationships.
